Against the Odds

Interesting and relaxing garden

This garden is amazing and I love it. I have no particular gardening knowledge and I work full time, the property is home to 3 dogs as well as the family so it gets loads of wear and tear …………. Yet despite all these obstacles it is still so pretty and interesting.

It is a brilliant, almost secret garden to enjoy, because although it isn’t huge it has gorgeous mature trees and interesting plants giving pretty and discreet areas to enjoy.

My particular favourite area is a lovely Summerhouse tucked at the back of garden, mostly hidden by the trees and adjacent to the pretty clematis. We have sofas and a beer fridge in it so it’s just perfect for chilling on a warm evening.

It’s a great garden for parties and entertaining, and although none of that has been possible this year,  when the weather is good enough we can enjoy lots of cooking and eating outside.

The borders are challenged daily by the dogs who run through them playing chase and tag, but the plants are so robust that they still frame the garden beautifully.

When we moved in there was a big fence at the front and we had to move it to park the cars off the road, I had a big horse trough so I put it in the drive and I think it looks pretty all planted up now.
