Welcome to the Apple Tree Cottage garden. Having moved into the village at the start of 2019, we have spent a year trying to tame the garden which was largely overgrown and dominated by large trees that cut out a lot of the sunlight. The garden is mostly hidden below ground and as a result is shielded from the wind. Most areas enjoy plenty of sunshine whilst others are cool and shady. The garden had very few plants when we arrived and as a result the planting is very young and just starting to establish itself this summer. The slides below try to show our starting point and the progress we have made in trying to create a relaxing, family friendly garden.
