Not a very big garden but quite a lot can be done with it, the water feature has been planned quite a while and the lockdown has actually got it built, it is very effective , especially at night when it is backlit with blue led’s.
I am trying to collect and use a lot of different grasses and ferns where I can.
The rambling rose is over 20 years old and blooms three times most years.
I enjoy growing some tropical plants, and lots of veg in my polytunnel.
The vegetation above the fish pond is all grown in rocks and gravel, and no soil. The water from the pond is trickled through the bed and the fish waste provides all the nutrients, and helps the fish by taking the nitrates out of the system, which is how Aquaponics works. I have never seen plants grow so fast and lush as these do.
A lot more to do, but I hope it shows what can be done in small spaces, vertical green walls are the next project, hopefully by next year it will all be done.
